FruitPorch accounts are personal. Don't share credentials, don't impersonate other neighbors, and don't list anything you don't actually have.

Fruit Bucks are a community currency, not a fiat instrument. They exist to coordinate local trades within FruitPorch and have no cash value.

FruitPorch is a community marketplace and coordination platform. We do not grow, inspect, certify, package, store, transport, or control produce listed by users. Each user is solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the condition and safety of any produce or goods they provide, their own food handling practices, and their conduct during messages, pickups, deliveries, trades, purchases, or other exchanges. Produce may contain or be exposed to allergens, pesticides, pests, insects, mold, bacteria, spoilage, contamination, foreign objects, or other health or safety risks. You are responsible for inspecting all produce before accepting, eating, sharing, or using it, and for deciding whether an exchange is safe and appropriate for you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that FruitPorch, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners are not responsible or liable for any illness, allergic reaction, injury, loss, damage, dispute, unsafe meetup, failed exchange, inaccurate listing, poor produce quality, pest issue, contamination, spoilage, user misconduct, or other harm arising from or related to produce, goods, communications, pickups, deliveries, trades, purchases, or interactions between users. You agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FruitPorch and its related parties from any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the service, your listings, your exchanges, your conduct, your produce or goods, or your interactions with other users.

If a trade goes sideways, open a dispute from the order detail page. Our moderators may help mediate within two harvest days, but moderation does not make FruitPorch responsible for user actions, produce quality, health outcomes, meetup safety, refunds, or exchange results.
